Skills: what's different
The skills are the ones you remember, trained the way you remember. A few things work differently, and a few bigger changes are on the way.
Stamina and Agility
Instead of run energy you have a stamina bar, shown with your health and special energy.
- Walking and jogging never use stamina. Sprinting, dodge rolls and attacks do.
- It refills on its own: fastest standing still, slower while jogging, and slower again while you're fighting. In the Sanctum it refills quickly and sprinting is free.
- Agility makes it better: a higher Agility level gives a bigger bar (from 100 at level 1 to 200 at level 99), makes everything cost less and speeds up recovery.
- Agility levels as you play. Sprinting around the world gives Agility XP by itself. Agility courses are still the fastest way to train it.
- A new character can sprint for about 25 seconds on a full bar, and a normal fight never runs it dry.
Party XP bonus
Right-click a player and pick Invite to party (up to five, on the same world). When a monster you all fought dies, everyone who hit it and is nearby keeps their own XP plus a bonus: 20% of what the others earned on it, up to half of their own. Ironmen can join parties but don't get the bonus.
Tool belt
Crafting works with the tool on your tool belt: the needle for leather and dragonhide (you still need thread) and the glassblowing pipe for molten glass.
On the way Coming soon
Woodcutting, Fishing and Mining are getting a more hands-on revamp: reading the tree, the water or the rock, timing your swings and casts, and landing the big ones. They are still in development and not in the game yet, and the details may change. The Discord gets the news first.
